Bristol’s Clean Air Zone began operating in November 2022.
Bristol City Council are supporting businesses and organisations with financial support and can provide advice on ensuring staff, suppliers and customers are Clean Air Zone ready.
Financial support
We have £32 million of funding to help businesses upgrade vehicles. Our support scheme is designed to significantly reduce the final cost of either replacing or adapting vehicles that don’t meet the zone’s emission standards.
For many businesses, upgrading to a vehicle that meets the zone’s emission standards could be a cost-effective alternative to paying the charge over the longer term.
Electric vehicles
You don’t have to drive an electric vehicle to enter the Clean Air Zone but if you’re considering switching to electric, we can help.
- Bristol’s free electric vehicle trial scheme
