We have now published the Charging Order for Bristol’s Clean Air Zone. This is a legal document which sets out detailed information about how the zone will operate from Monday 28 November 2022.
The Charging Order includes information on vehicles that can enter the zone without charge, the permanent and temporary exemptions available and the penalty charge notice you will receive if you enter the zone in a vehicle that doesn’t meet the emission standards and do not pay the daily charge.
We have updated the Bristol City Council website with information about exemptions available for the zone, eligibility criteria and how to apply. Applications for exemptions will open in late September 2022.
